Be the best you can be
RICHMOND ROVERS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB is a FA Charter Standard Community Club based in Poynton, Hazel Grove and the surrounding areas. As one of the largest clubs in Cheshire we cater for players of all abilities and have a goal to give as many children the chance to play football as possible. We are run by a dedicated bunch of volunteers and aim to give all children the chance to fulfil their potential. All volunteers are CRC checked, and each team has at least a FA Level 1 coach assigned to them.

Once your child starts school, they move to our long-running Saturday morning soccer school, We have grass venues in Poynton and Hazel Grove, but in the winter months normally run the sessions on the 4g at HGHS. We introduce them to matches also at this stage.

Having graduated soccer school, your child now plays matches every Saturday morning across various leagues. Training is done on a weekday evening indoors at the state of the art Box Football. Here they get professional coaching, working to the Box Curriculum to fully develop their footballing skills.
We continue to offer football all the way through the teenage years. Most training venues are on 4g and sessions are run by the team's coach. Matches take place on Sunday at various local venues.
Girls are welcome to play with the open teams, but we also run dedicated girls teams. They start with our FA approved Wildcats centre, before progressing to one of our girls teams who enjoy all the benefits and facilties of all the other teams.
Although we are predominantly a Junior club, we also have a very successful veterans (over 35s) side, but if competitive football isn't your thing you can still just come for a kickabout with our FA Justplay session on a Thursday night to try and display the skills you think you had in your youth!
An important part of our club is our partner club in Oostvoorne, just outside of Rotterdam. We have been taking teams there for over 10 years and often the players develop more over a weekend tour than they might do over weeks at home. We also host the Annual Anglo Dutch Tournament every July.
Our partnership with Box Football is bringing professional standard coaching to grassroots football. Their highly skilled coaches deliver a coaching curriculum developed for the modern game and targets the development needs of the young footballers in the club,
